An easy success for Acclam

Bred and sold by Haras de Castillon, Acclam broke his maiden at Strasbourg.


Second for his debut, in the Prix de Gennetines (Maiden), at Moulins, behind Complication (No Nay Never), Acclam (Mehmas) did not wait long to break his maiden. The representative of Philippe Pierry won in a very good style for his second outing only, against more experienced horses, and should be a smart prospect for the future.


During the race, Acclam traveled all the way in the middle of the field, waiting patiently behind the first group of horses, before making a remarkable turn of foot mid-straight to to ensure an easy success.


Satisfied with the performance of his colt, Julien Guillochon said to Equidia: “The colt learnt a lot from his debut race. He won very easily with some margin. It's a good

sign for the future, he should be a good horse. "


Mehmas again! Bred by Castillon, Zayed Muhsen Al Khayarin, and Hamed Nasser Al Hababi, Acclam is a son of Mehmas (Acclamation), stallion at Tally Ho Stud. Leading first crop sire last year in Europe, he is making a magnificent start to the 2021 season with his 3 years old.

His mother, Ehteyat was presented by the Haras de Castillon at the Arqana 2018 breeding sale and sold for €27,000 to MAB Agency. Also presented by the Haras de Castillon at the Arqana 2018 breeding sale, his son Acclam was bought for €16,000 by Sarl Imperial Bloodstock.


Ehteyat produced four foals and Acclam is her first winner in France. She has a 2-y-o unnamed by Shalaa (Invincible Spirit), in training with Alessandro and Giuseppe Botti, and also a yearling by Kendargent (Kendor). Second dam Clara House (Shirley Heights) produced three Listed winners in Italy. The third dam, Mountain Lodge (Blakeney), is the winner of the Irish Saint Leger (Gr1) and third of the Doncaster Cup (Gr3).
