Just Beauty, very easily

In this Prix du Pavillon de Manse (Unraced 3yos), Just Beauty (Shalaa) made a remarkable debut, winning with authority. A little lively, at the start of the course, the future winner gradually relaxed, three quarters of the length of the host Calliepie (Le Havre). Fairly easy to enter the straight line, Just Beauty took the advantage and deployed beautiful strides. After the race, Jean-Bernard Roth, Jean-Claude Rouget's assistant, told Equidia: “The filly was very professional today. This is an element that remains very perfectible. Over the past three weeks, Just Beauty has evolved a lot. Her gallops were of better quality. On a racecourse where horses can be disturbed for their debut, she showed an excellent attitude. I think she has a future, especially as we have been patient with her. She is a filly with a good mind, a good action and an acceleration typical of good horses. It's never easy to win like that at Chantilly. »

She is perfect. Benoit Jeffroy, the owner of Just Beauty, told us: “Just Beauty comes from a family that we have been operating for twenty years and maybe even more! So we know the strain well, and having a filly that shows quality is a pleasure. She's Penja's sister. This family is very "alive". Texas, for example, will run the French Guineas. Just Beauty was supposed to go to the August yearling sales but she had a little problem and we had to withdraw her. As a result, we gave him quite a bit of time to recover. She was only broken in last summer but our patience was rewarded. Cristian Demuro told us she was still very baby. In addition, the horses attacked her very early. So she had to go like that to the end and that's what she did. Thereafter, we will go through the steps one after the other. We will see how far she can go, but what is certain is that this filly can be improved. »

Penja's sister. Bred by Scea des Prairies, Just Beauty is a daughter of Shalaa (Invincible Spirit), stallion stationed in the southern hemisphere at Arrowfield Stud and Just with You (Sunday Break). The latter produced Taos (Toronado), winner of the Derby du Midi (L) but above all Penja, winner of the Prix de Psyché Sky Sports Racing (Gr3) and second, beaten a nose in the Prix de la Nonette (Gr2). After her time at the Arc Arqana sale where she was bought for €1,200,000 by Blandford Bloodstock Ltd, the mare joined the stables of Andreas Suborics. Just With You has a 2yo named Simard (Harry Angel) in training with Jean-Claude Rouget and a yearling by Wootton Bassett (Iffraaj).
